MECHANISM
A healthy skin structure generally contains matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) and their natural inhibitors that brings enzymatic equilibrium. Environmental factors may lead to an increase in MMP activity, thus leading to a degradation of collagen fibers. With the ECM degraded, a loss of capillary vessels tons may occur, contributing to the appearance of dark circles and varicose veins.
